In the 1990s, I saw a lot of little local arts groups collapse when they lost their founders/leaders. There just wasn’t enough of an administrative infrastructure or shared artistic vision to sustain the organizations once their charismatic leaders burned out or moved on. Now, the Tucson Chamber Orchestra is facing life after the departure of its founder, but I think that this group just might survive ...

Welcome to our new and improved home on the Internet. In the coming months we expect to be able to offer enhanced information about the music you enjoy including a direct retail link to the recordings that you've heard in our programming. I'm personally looking forward to having this space to provide occasional insights about the new recordings that excite me and to reflect on the state of classical music today. I may even reveal a few of the secrets behind the way the music is scheduled (for those who care) :).
